Program Description:

Arcadia Sydney Internship
Spend summer being part of Sydney’s professional community

Earn academic credit, improve your professional skills, and embrace new cultures in one of the world’s most exciting cities. This innovative internship offers you a placement in one of Sydney's leading public institutions or commercial enterprises, as well as a research project and a course on Australian society, history, and workplace culture.

Our experienced staff look at your academic and professional background as well as your own learning objectives to find the right placement for you. In the past, we have had interns in fields including marketing, finance, social welfare, public policy, humanities, and visual, fine, and graphic arts. Arcadia has strong ties throughout the Sydney community to ensure your placement is a perfect fit for you.

  • You have the opportunity to take two courses with Arcadia University; your internship course and an elective course.

  • This program includes a weekend excursion to the Blue Mountains.

  • Throughout your internship, you'll have mentoring from faculty for the academic side of your program and from a workplace supervisor to ensure you are meeting your own professional and personal goals.

  • This program will be an impressive addition to any resume.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Application Process
There is a dual application process for this program.  (1) Students must apply to for permission to study abroad on this program; you can do this by clicking the "Apply Now" button.  At the same time, (2) students apply directly to the program for admission.  The program application can be accessed on the program website.  Please pay close attention to both the IWU and program deadlines, as they may be different.

Tuition Cost
IWU has a home-school tuition policy, which means that students studying abroad will be billed the regular IWU tuition—unless the study abroad tuition is higher, in which case the student pays that higher cost.  Unless otherwise noted, IWU does not charge room and board for studying abroad; instead, students pay those costs to the program provider.
