Professional Experience in a Friendly City

This exciting internship will boost your resume with employers and graduate schools. We will match you with a placement that best suits your professional and academic goals, so you enjoy relevant and worthwhile experiences while spending your summer in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities.

Enjoy the friendly and approachable atmosphere of Dublin. It has an exciting, globalized society and business culture with a young, multi-cultural population that is full of energy and very welcoming. You’ll have every opportunity to access senior management in the workplace in this dynamic yet manageable city.

This program offers an internship placement at a leading Irish company or non-profit organization. Placement options include: local businesses' marketing departments, non-governmental organizations, hospital administration, government agencies, and creative industries. The Field Information Guide will outline more placement details.

 
  • In addition to the course framing your internship experience, you'll take either Modern Irish Literature OR Entrepreneurship in Practice, taught at the Arcadia Dublin Center.
 
  • You can take advantage of everything Dublin and Ireland have to offer in terms of culture, literature, music, art, history, and stunning scenery through excursions and events.
 
  • Modern Dublin has a diverse, young population that offers a friendly and energetic city life, bringing together traditional Irish culture and traditions with cosmopolitan lifestyles.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Application Process
There is a dual application process for this program.  (1) Students must apply to for permission to study abroad on this program; you can do this by clicking the "Apply Now" button.  At the same time, (2) students apply directly to the program for admission.  The program application can be accessed on the program website.  Please pay close attention to both the IWU and program deadlines, as they may be different.

Tuition Cost
IWU has a home-school tuition policy, which means that students studying abroad will be billed the regular IWU tuition—unless the study abroad tuition is higher, in which case the student pays that higher cost.  Unless otherwise noted, IWU does not charge room and board for studying abroad; instead, students pay those costs to the program provider.
