Excursions & Activities

With Arcadia, you learn beyond the classroom. Travel to fascinating places of interest that enhance your cultural immersion and give a meaningful context to your academic courses, through Arcadia's planned excursions and activities. Arcadia Australia offers a wonderful array of excursions and activities impacted by the location of your program to bring you unique experiences. These excursions and activities range from urban locations, coastal regions, rural bushlands, rainforests, and tropical islands. They provide you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture, environment, traditions, and with the people of these places. You will try new foods, learn new skills, explore incredible places, and learn about the Indigenous peoples of Australia.

Our staff will help you look beneath the surface of everyday life and begin to understand what it means to be Australian. While we encourage you to engage with the culture through your course options, there’s also a world of learning beyond the classroom. All Arcadia excursions are designed to be fun and interactive learning opportunities. We’ll open the doors, but it’s up to you to grasp the opportunity and enjoy a life-changing experience. IMPORTANT NOTES:

Application Process
There is a dual application process for this program.  (1) Students must apply to for permission to study abroad on this program; you can do this by clicking the "Apply Now" button.  At the same time, (2) students apply directly to the program for admission.  The program application can be accessed on the program website.  Please pay close attention to both the IWU and program deadlines, as they may be different.

Tuition Cost
IWU has a home-school tuition policy, which means that students studying abroad will be billed the regular IWU tuition—unless the study abroad tuition is higher, in which case the student pays that higher cost.  Unless otherwise noted, IWU does not charge room and board for studying abroad; instead, students pay those costs to the program provider.
